Rafting Around Nova Scotia: Something New!

By Isaac Lorel

If you have been rafting for a while in the United States and you think you know it all about rafting, you may be in for a surprise with Nova Scotia rafting! You see on the Canadian rivers of Nova Scotia not only do you have the ordinary rapids but you also have tied waves to contend with. Waves of up to 16 feet have been known to form.

If you are looking for a rush of adrenaline this is the place for you to go. Catching the highest tide will provide you with the most white water rafting fun in Nova Scotia. It is possible for the level of the river to rise up to 30 additional feet during the course of time you are rafting.

This can provide some exciting moments when those white water waves are at their highest. Many of these white water trips are for the more experienced rafter and can be dangerous for children and novice rafters.

Finding the Right Rapid for You

No rapid is the same and each of us has a different experience level. There are going to be rapids that require at least some experience and expertise, whereas others will be okay under guidance for the general public.

There are multiple packages available at travel agencies aimed at different levels of experience and those that include children are automatically set up to provide safe rivers for them.

Other more aggressive rapids are available for the novice rafter but require you to be at least 12 years of age. These rapids provide a lot of white water action as well as provide a scenic ride.

If you already have experience, white water rafting in Nova Scotia can offer you a more intense rafting experience. Continuous white water action on the highest possible tides offers fun and excitement to the seasoned rafter.

Nova Scotia offers something new and exciting for all who embrace outdoor sports, whether they be experienced rafters or not. Why don't you give Nova Scotia a try for your next rafting trip? - 15485
