Stand Above The Crowd With The Best Blogs

By Don Bethune

Simply stated; a blog should be completely focussed in having people study its contents. The web is constantly bombarded with countless blog sites of almost any topic. So this avalanche of websites has a constant battle of keeping readers back for more postings.

Regular readers of blogs have learned to to sift through blogs by scanning for any specific topic that catch their attention rather than reading the entire blog entry. Understanding this reader filtering technique should clearly show you must follow suit by creating attention getting information that makes the reader wish to learn more after just a few seconds. Use the following suggestions to improve your blog posts.

Grab the attention of the visitor: The first approach is to write small two or three sentence paragraphs divided into sections with bold section headings. The visible section headings will make it easy for the visitor to get an idea of the entire writing and then select the section he is most interested in. This way they would decide whether to read or not a blog. So keep the section headings crisp and attention grabbing.

Add a thousand words to your blog with a relevant picture at the top of your blog entry. An attractive photo can grab someone's attention even if the headline is not that great. They can study the image and see if it relates to the blog. That means they are still on your webpage!

Make it easier with bullets: Bulleted lists are a useful technique to convey your ideas in a concise manner. They allow presenting your ideas in a manner which helps to read and understand quickly. It also forces the visitor to look at the specific content as the bulleted lists stand out in a blog. Bulleted list will definitely increase the possibility that a visitor will read a blog

Concentrate on the bulk of your message then write the title headline: Your blog title should represent the primary message of your blog article and gain the readers curiosity. Compose your entire blog article and then pause for a moment to make the right blog title. This way you have distilled the entire message while the composition is fresh in your mind

Startle the browser by being controversial on your subject title. By going against the flow of the normal brain process gives you a chance to be above the storm of blogs. Be prepared to substantiate what your title says or you will lose readers.

Why let the reader walk away? Get them to blog through comments on your blog: Make an inquiry at the end of your blog post that simply motivates a blog reader to respond through further questions or comments by their blog responses. Simple hooks that keeps the reader participating in your blog by posting related information from their experiences will only increase the value of your blog website. - 15485
