Moles make you look beautiful when it is alone as a beauty spot which will be your identification mark to stand different from the rest, but when they appear in bunches they will make you look awful. And you will automatically look for someone to hide in all the parties or force yourself to cover them with make up.

Moles can appear for various reasons, some of the common reasons would be by age, hormone variations, exposure of skin to sun and they may come from your ancestors as hereditary as well. Moles can appear anywhere on the body and they are very common. The skin cells overgrow and form moles; this is because the cells grow into clusters instead of spreading over the skin.

The appearance of moles can be at anytime, at birth or they can appear gradually with time. They can be of any color and can vary in shape and size. The color of the moles can vary from skin colored or may be brown to black. Most of the moles are just skin overgrowth and are not harmful. Moles when are itching may look suspicious to develop into melanoma and such moles has to be removed as they may be cancerous.

Genetic disorders or exposure to the sun can be the reason for moles. Moles can turn into skin cancer. The reason for skin cancer is because of the excess production of the pigment called melanocytes in our skin. When melanocytes are produced abnormally then moles appear and when these moles are formed into clusters there are chances of melanoma which is the cause for skin cancer.

If you have such kind of suspicious moles then rush to a dermatologist now. The remedy which is prescribed by the dermatologist is mole removal surgery. The surgical methods are of three different types. The first is cauterization - burn the moles using a tool, second to remove the moles by using knife and stitch to skin, last is the laser treatment where beams are passed through the skin to remove moles from the root.

Being under the knife of the dermatologist has become very common recently. The charge for mole removal is approximately $125 per visit to the dermatologist. Usually when you are undergoing mole removal surgery the skin around the mole is also removed to stay away from melanoma. These surgeries leave behind the stitches or burns, which takes months for curing. - 15485
