No one could have guessed how phenomenally successful social networks like YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace would become. The power and potential of these top sites are mind boggling. When in 2005 I began to introduce the power of these sites to chiropractors and show them the impact it could have on their marketing, I knew that web 2.0 could bring all of them phenomenal marketing success in these difficult times. Knowing all this, I still couldn't even fathom the remarkable success that was really still to come.

Discovering how to leverage social media and video marketing for my chiropractic practice was one of the best things that I could've ever done. As many are aware, this type of marketing / advertising is free so there is virtually no risk to the chiropractor. In 2005, I first began meeting and interacting with people from my local community on Myspace. I was literally meeting 50 people every single day which was getting me tons of free traffic exposure very fast. Initially, I was testing and tweaking certain things on my profile for greater conversions and how I was presenting myself. Then, I began to notice the phone calls and the new patients coming it. That person would automatically appear to be the authority on something, right?

Take people on a journey with you through your office and in many different locations. I always bring my video camera and tripod with me wherever I go because I never know when I'm going to have a great idea for an educational or promotion video for my chiropractic practice or other business ventures. I've shot videos at the office, at home, in Costa Rica, at the golf course, in the mountains, on the ocean, and many other locations. Viewers love to tag-along with you on your journey and see a change of scenery. Also, in my opinion, natural light is the best and most flattering.

In your chiropractic video marketing campaigns, make sure to also crank-out at least 1-2 videos per week. You can do them yourself or outsource production. If you outsource, though, you will pay a pretty penny. I recommend doing it yourself, as it's so simple and free. It's also a good idea to invite people to subscribe to your YouTube video channel at the end of your video messages. If you directly ask them, they will be more inclined to do so.

The important thing to remember is to relax, have fun, and to not be pretentious. Your videos should not be fake or give a false impression of who you really are. Convey your genuine feelings about wanting to help people and be the go-to person for their specific problems and this is what you will attract. With that in mind, provide a large amount of use value that your followers or people that see your video can implement that same day. This will give you even more credibility and build faster rapport with your community.

Economists Say Trillions of Dollars are Changing Hands

Economists are telling us that we are on the cusp of the greatest transfer of wealth in the history of America. Today's retirees make up one of the wealthiest segments of the U.S. population with more personal wealth than any previous generation.

It is being said those who will bequest this wealth will greatly boost the resources of the 76 million Baby Boomers. If thats true, then the next few decades will see an estimated $40.6 trillion change hands as Baby Boomers and their parents pass their accumulated wealth to their heirs.

Meanwhile we are being told that we are facing a shrinking middle class. Some want to interpret this to mean that soon we will only have the very rich and the very poor in our nation.

As Americans are constantly labeling groups of people, it is probably time to think about where you stand in all of this.

How are you Affected?

The answer to this question lies in how you see yourself in the greater economic picture. If you feel that you are one of the poor then you are probably throwing up your hands in disgust and feeling like this means the rich will get richer, while you will end up having less.

If the aforementioned information has you feeling frustrated and aggravated thinking that while the rich get richer, you will only get poorer - then think again. Perhaps another way to look at this is that more and more middle class Americans are moving up the ranking and that is why the middle class seems to be fading away. Dont be too quickly convinced that this wealth transfer and shrinking middle class is all loom and doom for you.

Define the Middle Class

In earnest there really is no definitive means with which to define the middle class. This is because many people classify people based on material possessions while others classify them on lifestyle and occupational functions. Compared to Americans a decade ago, we have much more in terms of belongings. There were no computers, cell phones or two car families back then.

What I am trying to do is get you to focus on your thinking. If you are using outside mediums to determine what middle class means to you than you will undoubtedly feel persecuted by rich and wealthy millionaires taking the whole kitty. Your thinking quite effectively dictates your behavior and your ability or inability to see yourself as one of the rich.

Is their Truth to the Shrinking Theory?

Just because we hear that the middle class is shrinking does not mean it is true. Economists are locked in debates about whether it is true and whether or not there are amicable means with which to measure middle class stature. While some judge middle class by occupation others focus on income earning. Many economist say there is little to no shrinkage of middle class.

Consider this:

In 1979 Middle Class was defined by an income bracket of $30,000-$100,000. Today fewer people in the America live within those figures than they did in 1979

The number of people in households that bring in more than $100,000 rose (in that same time period) from 12 percent to 24 percent.

Groups earning less than $30,000 have remained consistent.

That being the case, it means the "decline" of the middle class came from people moving up the income ladder, not the other way around.

Married couples have seen median income raises of 25% since 1979.

Reading these facts, you can easily see that the decline of the middle class is more likely because they are the ones moving up rather than down the economic ladder of success!

If indeed there is this massive wealth transfer, it can mean there are millions of people with discretionary income to spend on your products or services. (What if you had a product to help them invest wisely?)

Stop! Don't Go On a Cruise With a Baby Until You Read This

Our recent Caribbean cruise on Crown Princess ship with our 10 month old daughter was fantastic. We enjoyed it so much that we are starting to plan for another cruise in about a year.

Planning for your trip is essential. There are so many things to consder and travel with a baby means that you need to pack more than you would without a baby. Here are the things that we thing you absolutely have to have when going on a cruise with a young baby.

1. Number one on our list is a comfortable stroller. Comfort for your baby is important - but it also important that the stroller can be folded so that it can be taken on an airplane and so that it won't take up too much room in your cruise ship cabin. Our stroller was in constant use from morning to night. We walked our daughter on the promenade deck every morning; we took our daughter to all of our meals in her stroller; we didn't want to miss out on the night-life on the ship - so every evening after dinner we bathed our daughter, dressed her in pyjamas, and then placed her back into her stroller. We then walked the ship with her, went to some clubs on the ship with her and before long she would fall fast asleep.

2. Make sure that you have enough diapers for your baby during the vacation - but don't bring them from home. First figure out before you leave how many diapers your child go through in a normal day - and then multiply that number by the number of days on your vacation. If your vacation involves air travel (like ours did) you won't want to have to bring the diapers from home - if you do that means that they will have to be checked as checked baggage. Instead, do what we did. Our ship cruised out of Fort Lauderdale in Florida. We had time from when our flight arrived in Florida to when we had to be on the ship. So from the airport we took a cab to a nearby Target store and purchased the diapers that we needed for the cruise and some other baby supplies before getting another taxi to the ship.

3. Take some swim diapers. All cruise ships have a baby/toddler pool. Babies and toddlers are allowed in the pool if they are toilet-trained or if they wear swim diapers. Our daughter went into the kiddies pool every day - and she always wore swim diapers.

4. Formula - consider packing enough powder formula for the duration of the trip. We purchased the required formula in Fort Lauderdale rather than bring it from home. Keep in mind that any formula entering the ship must be sealed & in the original container.

5. Being able to boil water during the trip was important to us since we wanted to have safe water to mix with the powdered formula. In order to make it easy to boil water we brought a kettle with us with an automatic shut-off.

6. Baby's food is obviously very important. We brought a formula dispenser with us. We did this so that we could fill several bottles with clean water and when it was time for a bottle for our daughter we just had to pour the pre-measured formula into the water and give the bottle a shake.

7. Scented bags for dirty diapers. Because you will not have a diaper dispenser for dirty diapers with you - taking a supply of these bags will help reduce any bad odours in your room. They can be purchased at a dollar store or Babies r Us.

8. Soap for baby's bath. Most cruise cabins don't have a bathtub - ours did not. What we did was plug the drain on the shower and put enough water in the shower in order to give our baby her bath.

9. If you plan on spending much time in the sun with your child during the cruise you may want to purchase before your trip and bring with you a lightweight sun cabana before your trip. We used ours on two beaches and on the pool deck near the kiddies pool. It kept us and our baby comfortable and protected from the sun. To rent a cabana on the private island that our ship stopped would have cost us about $80. The cabana that we brought with us cost less than $50 and we use it all the time.

10. Zip lock bags - these are great for everything - snack holders, put really dirty/soiled clothes away until you get home. Use for things that leak - (ex. medicine). Use the bags on the ship to pack bibs, spoons to go for dinner so when they are dirty you can throw in the bag & clean when you get back to your room.

So it stands to reason that the more suspicion of a cheating partner, as evinced by all these phone number trace orders, the more actual cheating was going on. And with the kind of glaring increases in infidelity following a downturn, recession, or disaster, it seems pretty clear that there is something to all of this.

"I have no plans to write a dissertation on this, I just find it interesting. If those in the behavioral field see some merit, maybe someone will conduct some research that will bear the seal of scientific approval. The idea of paying monthly or annual fees to cover the cost of our health issues seems to be a modern one, but the truth is that there is a long history behind it.

Centuries Old The original idea of health insurance was brought into being by Hugh Chamberlen in 1694. By the time the 1800`s rolled around, people were able to buy accident insurance, which worked to help those who were injured in an accident or who ended up disabled.

The very first health plans only offered compensation if the victim was injured due to an accident on a steamboat or train. While not terribly useful, since there were more injuries related to other circumstances at the time, it did prepare people for the more comprehensive types of plans that would be developed later on by health insurance Canada companies.

In 1847, the Massachusetts Health Insurance of Boston offered the very first group insurance policy with comprehensive benefits. By the 1890`s, insurance companies were starting to issue individual policies that covered everything from injuries and accidents to sickness and disease.

This might not be the ideal example but I am sure you get the point.

By trying to think of how can I make this work instead of its hopeless, doors open up. An optimist will see ways to fix a problem that a pessimist never will.

Pessimists on the other hand live in doom and gloom. Their minds are so clouded with negativity that they can only focus on themselves and how bad things are. They completely miss opportunities that are right in front of their noses because they are caught up in complaining and feeling sorry for themselves. Complaining solves nothing. Say something like I was very productive today and I got a lot accomplished. At first you will feel like you are kidding yourself but over time this will change your perspective and will result in better and better days. I no longer complain about being tired or that I was really busy. I rest and then get right back to doing the things I like to do.

If you are using negative language it will affect how you think, plain and simple. Your words matter whether you want them to or not. By paying attention to the words you use and the thoughts you think you will move yourself into a success mindset.
