What To Look For In a P2P Download Software

By Terry Hunter

Many file sharing software programs exist. You might have one of them or have heard of one of them - Ares, Kazaa etc... They are very convenient downloading programs that can allow you to download all kinds of content with an Internet connection. They are fairly safe if you have a virus scanning program and a spyware scanning program (which you should). There are a lot of these software titles, but which is best? These are things you should get in a good P2P program.

Can download more than just music files.

The networks that the best downloading programs use also support media other than just music files. These include files such as word and pdf documents, software programs and video files.

Huge user database

As the network of users grows, so does its number of files. Many of the programs tend to share each other's networks so that they get bigger and downloading files becomes faster.

Fast download speeds

Network size plays a part because the more people there are to download from, the faster you can download, but it also depends on how the program finds users to download from for you. Your download program should be able to keep the number of people you are downloading form high so you get the best download speed at all times.

Lastly it should be ad and popup free and very accessible. The last thing you want is a program that has a terrible user interface that is impossible to operate. It should be very easy to use and have good cross-platform compatibility. - 15485
